  • Predestination?

Hardly anyone I know believes in predestination. It just doesn't seem fair, does it? But God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. I'm not sure what to make of it. Read chapters 8 and 9 in Romans. What do you think? Is a puzzlement, eh?

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  • I grew up Presbyterian, so predestination has been ingrained in my beliefs. I think it is that even though we have freewill, God knew from the beginning of time who would come and who would not.

  • BTW, ordered FFF and the Thyroid Power book from Amazon. My pastor's wife was down here a couple of days with us and she is very interested too. I think she's a definate and I'm a possibility.

  • Let's look at it this way. Although God already knew before the dawn of time who would and who wouldn't accept Him He sent His Son anyway to make that way possible so that whosoever will can come. He made the way and yet He knew sure as He knew your name and mine but He did it anyway. Now that makes me glad and makes me know that He really does love the Whole world. Why wouldn't he say Christ died for the few and chosen and went ahead and named us. He already knew it when he had the boys write it down but He left it for us to choose and gave us that open invitation. That tells me that He longs for all of us to choose. We are leaving tomorrow for Amelia Island. How are you?

  • my youngest read your post and then was chatting with me as I looked up some things about being grafted in like a grape vine or olive branch are sometimes grafted in and he asked if the graft doesn't take why is it cut off if the vine dresser knew ahead of time it wouldn't take? Deep stuff for 14 I thought. He said he understood why a human would make that mistake and graft in a bad vine but God would know all and thus know what he was doing so that must mean he ordained sin to be a part of the plan too and that seemed cruel to him. WOW! I just sat there and looked at him for a minute. I have pictures on facebook of our trip but I will post some of them tomorrow on xanga. We went to the fountain of youth and Anastasia Island and then up to Amelia Island. I loved standing on the beach listening to the Ocean. I could sit there all day and stare at the waves. It is still a tad bit too cold for that right now but it was still beautiful.

  • So,,, how is you? How is life at your end of the continent? I loved it there. Lot's of shall we say interesting people there. Especially around marina's. It is a different world from the farmer mentality. for sure. But who comes to Missouri just for vacation? No one I know.
